If you hate SMGs then I'm sure you love LMGs.
The Browning M1919 is the LMG equivalent of the PTRS-41.
In real life the Browning weighed less than the PTRS-41 but required a crew of 4 [1 gunner, 1 ammo feeder, and 2 ammo carriers]
So it obviously makes sense that one player gets to run around blasting away with this .30 calibre cannon.
